Why Equip?

The Equip team at ITEC exists to inspire and guide churches, ministries, and individuals in their Great Commission participation. We work to build bridges of understanding and partnerships between churches in developed nations and those in frontier areas. The hope of the world is not missionaries from the US going to the ends of the Earth. It is Christ, and He is calling all believers to use their gifts, talents, and abilities uniquely in His work. Western Christians only make up 1/4 of the worldwide body of Christ. The Non-Western church is growing rapidly and sending their own missionaries. What if your church partnered with an indigenous church close to a frontier area or unreached people group and equipped those believers to meet felt needs as a door opener to the Gospel? With over 3 billion unreached people in the world today, the call to make disciples of all nations can seem like a daunting task. We have to work together to accomplish the mission that is bigger than anyone of us. Every follower of Christ has a role to play in the Great commission. What is yours?
