Seeds of Change: Growing Faith in Africa

We recently received an exciting update from Felix, one of our previous trainees who is now faithfully carrying out farm training in Southern Africa. His story is both encouraging and inspiring.

Felix began his first training in a village where 50 people gathered, including key community leaders—chief representatives and 15 headmen, each overseeing more than 100 households. Partnering with five local pastors, he combined biblical teaching with farming instruction. Before every lesson, they began with a devotional. During this training, 40 participants gave their lives to Christ.

News of this spread quickly, and residents of a nearby village invited Felix to come. After two months of monitoring the first project, he began the next training. Though resources were limited, he organized the training largely on his own. The event was a success with 70 people attending. With the support of five pastors and 10 village leaders, 50 more people came to faith in Christ. Felix continues to follow up and encourage their spiritual growth.

His third training was in what Felix now calls “The Mighty Village.” God is moving powerfully in this small place, and the testimonies of changed lives are spreading like wildfire. There were 56 participants, including village leaders, and every single one of them gave their lives to Christ. On the last day, the leaders insisted that the next training be held there again, and more than 250 people have already expressed interest in attending.

Soon Felix will be traveling back to meet with pastors, leaders, and students to prepare for this training. He asks for prayer—for God’s provision for transportation, food, printed materials, and the ability to follow up with those who have already begun their journey of faith.

Felix’s story is one example of how training opens doors for the Gospel in largely unreached places. If you and your church would like to be part of equipping leaders like Felix to share both skills and the hope of Christ, we’d love to connect with you. Learn more at itecusa.org.

“Even when I feel like giving up, I am encouraged by the support of my brothers and sisters. Farming... has become such a powerful tool for evangelism in these villages, and I am grateful to be part of it.” — Felix
