Fueling Our Bodies to the Glory of God
Fueling our bodies by eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water will help us feel better, have more energy and improve our mood. 'Healthy eating' is not referring to a specific, strict diet or depriving ourselves of the food we love. Rather, it is about learning to eat the right foods, moderating how much we eat, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for the glory of God.
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31).
There are a lot of similarities in the way we care for our bodies and the way we care for a vehicle. Like our bodies, most cars have the potential to last a long time if they are properly maintained. A vehicle that never receives any attention will not last as long as one that is properly cared for. Regular maintenance helps us get the most out of our vehicles.
We all need to eat food on a regular basis to fuel our bodies. What we use as fuel, however, will have an impact on how well our bodies run. An engine responds in the same way. If you add poor quality fuel to a car, it will not function properly. Over time, this can cause long-term damage. A huge factor that helps determine the health of our bodies is the fuel we put into it every day.
