Faith in the Field

In June, ITEC provided farm and mechanical training for Christ followers in Latin America. During the farm class, practical lessons about farming led to a discussion of 2 Corinthians 9:8. As the group reflected on God's provision, they began sharing ways they had seen Him at work in their fields and in their lives.
Their stories also included challenges many farming families were facing: insect damage, shrinking harvests, falling crop prices, and debt.
One trainee described praying for protection from cutter ants that were destroying his crops. In time, the damage stopped. His fields became so healthy that neighbors began asking what he was doing to protect his plants. His experience reflected an important principle reinforced throughout ITEC's farm training: well-managed, productive fields often draw the attention of neighbors, creating natural opportunities to share the Gospel.
The farm trainees learned practical ways to improve soil health, grow healthier crops, and better manage their finances. A budgeting lesson sparked honest conversations about debt and gave them hope that change was possible. They also found that many of the indigenous farming practices they had used for generations were rooted in sound principles, giving them confidence as they combined those practices with new skills.
Many of these trainees are already sharing the Gospel in surrounding communities. As they care for their families and serve their neighbors, they build trust. By equipping believers with practical skills that help provide for their families and meet needs, ITEC is helping multiply their impact.
Please pray that God will continue to strengthen these trainees as they faithfully serve. To learn more about how ITEC is opening doors to share the Gospel through practical training around the world, contact us at [email protected].
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.?? 2 Corinthians? ?9?:?8?
